There's Something About e-Learning

e-Learning; we all know it exists and its many benefits; cost effective, flexible, lack off geographic restrictions although we’re not though always entirely convinced how it can enhance our organisations training provision.

In a perfect world, emotive, sensitive and disturbing topics such as Child Protection would always be taught in a classroom with a trainer (and a cup of tea). Instead we’re all under pressure to train more staff on mandatory issues with ever tighter budgets.

Trainers are incredibly valuable assets to the training community, e-learning can free up their time to maximise face-face delivery, ensuring everyone attending training sessions has already learned the underpinning knowledge to the same level of understanding. This allows trainers to concentrate on effective re-enforcing learning methods like roleplaying and round table discussion.

More importantly as an organisation we can easily track and monitor learner’s feedback and evaluations and then begin to plan for next year’s training calendar. This way we have concrete evidence on how best to proceed.

It’s these little things that make a small investment really worthwhile and really highlights the benefit of having online tools that help you stretch resources further and lets trainers really showcase their expertise when upskilling our children’s workforces.
