5th July 2011 Wavarely Care
Abby heads to the west coast today and I to the East. Waverley Care is a charity that responds to the changing face of HIV and Hepatitis C, promoting the welfare of people with HIV, providing care and assistance and increasing education.
Next stop another charity; Youth Scotland
Meeting in a quiet leafy residential street in Edinburgh, as always all the meetings rooms are jam packed and we chat in the office about what we can offer. Youth Scotland is the largest non-uniformed youth organisation in Scotland and one of the key providers of information, training, advice and support to part time and voluntary youth workers. They tell me about the struggle to keep open the tiny youth groups in some of the remote parts of the country. This is exactly the kind of cause, one that impacts directly on children's lives, that the Child Protection e-Academy supports. I decided to donate £2,000, i'm really keen to hear how the donation is spent.
